How to Remove Background of Image using Using Eraser tool in Photoshop

Whether you belong to the photography community or not, You have still heard about Photoshop. It is the most popular and incredible app for photo editing. The app offers a wide range of tools and resources to make the photo editing process simpler and smarter.

However, the users face problems in removing the background of the images in photoshop. in this blog, we are going to discuss with our readers the most proper and genuine method to conduct the process of remove background of an image in photoshop smoothly.

We have explained the process step by step to keep it simple.

You can probably get away with only using the Background Eraser Tool if you’re dealing with a simple picture with plenty of visual contrast between the subject and the background.

Remove Background Of An Image in Photoshop: The Steps Involved in the Process Are As Follows:-

Step 1: Open the respective image and select the Background Eraser tool

Begin by selecting an image from which one you want to remove the background.

From the Photoshop toolbox, choose the Background Eraser tool. It’s possible that it’s hidden under the Eraser tool. If that’s the case, simply use the Eraser method to reveal it. You can also use Shift + E to loop through all of the eraser resources before you reach the Background Eraser. Press Shift + E twice to pick the Background Eraser Tool if you had the default Eraser tool selected.

Step 2: Change the Tool settings

Choose a round, hard brush from the tool options bar at the top of the panel. The best brush size depends on the picture you’re working on. To quickly scale the size of your brush, press the square bracket key ([ or ]).

You can also adjust the size and hardness of your brush by right-clicking your mouse anywhere on the artboard.

Step 3: Begin Erasing

Bring your brush over your background and begin to erase. You should see a brush-sized circle with small crosshairs in the center. The crosshairs show the “hotspot” and delete that color wherever it appears inside the brush area. It also performs smart color extraction at the edges of any foreground objects to remove “color halos” that might otherwise be visible if the foreground object is overlaid onto another background.

Step 4: Configure the Background Eraser Tool

Then one will prepare the tool for use. Set the Sampling to Continuous, which means that if we click on a region of the image to delete it, it will sample the various colours. As you can see, our picture has a lot of colours, which is why I chose it.

Step 5: Set the Limit

Tolerance and Edges to 25-29 percent. The eraser will be limited near the sampled color if the tolerance value is low, and vice versa.

You may also choose the option to Protect Foreground Color, which will prevent the eraser tool from erasing the foreground color pixels. To protect the picture, you can also choose a color from it.

Step 6: Begin erasing the background

Begin erasing the background by painting the picture with the above settings. Make sure you’re using a hard round brush with a 100 percent Hardness setting so that the hair edges remove smoothly.

You can adjust the brush’s hardness by right-clicking somewhere while the Background Eraser is working and adjusting the hardness with the slider. You may also adjust the brush size.
